CORNBREAD DRESSING



Southern Cornbread Dressing is the perfect classic side dish for Thanksgiving dinner and many other holidays.The great corn sauce is make from zero use homemade pickles & classic blending of onions, celery and&sage.

* Ingredients:

+Cornbread:
°1 1/3 C-yellow-cornmeal
°1 C flour
°1/3 C sugar
°3 tbsp powderbaking
°1/2 tsp baking soda
°1 tsp salt
°3 eggs
°2 C milk
°1/3 C un-salted butter
°cold butter for greasing the pan
Cornbread Salad Dressing:
°Top-baked cornbread is crumbly
°2 tablespoons of unsalted butter
°1 large yellow onion
°1 long stalk of celery
°3 garlic cloves
°2 eggs
°1 cup heated chicken broth
°2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
°2 tbsp. Fresh chopped parsley
°1 c.1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
°salt
°freshly black pepper

* Instructions :

+Corn-bread:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees and generously rub a 10-inch pan of butter all over the bottom and sides.
Mixing all dried ingredients in  bowl & beat.
In another bowl, mix all wet ingredients and whisk until smooth.
Slowly pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, whisking and whisking until combined.
Spread the cornbread dough evenly in the pan and bake for 20-22 minutes. (until the toothpick is inserted in the center and comes out clean).
Let the cornbread cool for 10 minutes in the skillet, then flip it onto a cutting board.
Cornbread Salad Dressing:
Prepare vegetables while cornbread.
Set oven to 375 degrees and rub a 9×13 baking dish with butter all over the bottom and sides.
Cut the onion and celery into cubes and chop the garlic.
Heat a saucepan over medium heat and add butter. Fry onions and celery until soft. Add chopped garlic and saute for a few more minutes. Turn up the heat.
Crumble cooked cornbread in a large mixing bowl. (I like to leave out large pieces and smaller ones for the best broth texture.) Add the sauteed vegetables, salt, garlic powder, pepper, sage, and parsley.
Whisk together eggs, warm broth, and melted butter in another bowl and pour over cornbread mixture. Mix everything well.
Spread mixture evenly in prepared baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, until top is golden and center is set.
